I view these gloves as semi-disposable. You use them until they are too worn, dirty, or damaged to use further.With that said, you might be able to use these gloves for a long time depending on how you use them. For example, I do not do a lot of working on cars which tends to soil/damage gloves very quickly.They seem well constructed, particularly for the price. Put it this way - they are a definite step above normal jersey gloves which I have used in the past for casual tasks.The plastic coating on the front of the gloves protects your hands from liquids and other things.The XL size was a good fit for this adult male, 6'1". They went on without a lot of effort but felt reasonably snug. If you get the right size for your hands, it will beat the heck out of those one size fits most gloves that some vendors like to peddle which never works for me.If you are doing extremely fine work or working in extremely tight spots, you may have to find another pair of thinner gloves. These are pretty thick cotton which may get in your way with that kind of work, but normally the thick cotton layer would be some additional protection for your hands. It is a tradeoff.These are a step above jersey gloves and a step below all leather work gloves including the price. For me, this is a good overall value for general hands on tasks.
