Honestly, I bought these to wear to doctors' appointments, because I was in preterm labor for months and visiting 2 specialists a week for exams and ultrasounds. It seemed like I was always in stirrups. So, I decided to purchase some cheap, "cute" socks (since my socks were basically as exposed as I was). I received lots of compliments on them, too. Ha! I had planned to just wear them for doctors' appointments, but they were instantly my FAVORITE socks! They are my go-to for every shoe! I'm not sure how a sock is thin enough to fit in a tighter shoe, but cushioned enough to wear with any shoe, but these fit the bill. My Nike Dri Fits are too thick for most shoes, and my dress socks are too thin. These are literally just right. The material is very stretchy and comfortable. They're also soft and breathable. They don't slide down either. My only complaint is that there are tons of strings inside of them due to the sticthing for the patterns (seen in the picture of the inside of the gray sock with orange and green argyle pattern), and toes can get caught in the strings when putting them on. You just have to roll them up slightly smaller when putting them on. Once they are on though, there are no issues with the strings. They aren't felt, and therefore do not deter from the comfort.3 years later:I still LOVE these socks! They are still my favorite, and I am more than impressed with the quality! I've worn, washed, and dried each pair over 100 times!! And not the first hole! So, I finally decided to buy more. 12 pairs this time! The price hasn't changed and, honestly, just can't can't be beat! From the pictures, it appears the socks have shrank. This isn't the case, though. They've simply stretched to my foot and calf size. I wear a women's 7 in sandals and heels and an 8/9 in boots and tennis shoes. And my legs are muscular and large for my small build. The socks are a little tight at the ankle and leg until they've stretched (which takes a while, though I can't remember exactly how long). The white socks show some pretty obvious discoloration over the years when compared to the new ones, but they've held up so well. The black and gray socks are truly impressive! The color has held true for years! I haven't washed them in any 'special' detergent to retain color either, and I always dry them in the dryer.I also purchased a different pattern this time (ArgyleG). The ArgyleG style (that I didn't include pictures of) are just as cute! The material does feel different, though. They aren't quite as soft as the ArgyleF pattern for some reason. And they're a little tighter. But the pattern is so cute, and I know the quality of these socks are superb, so no complaints or star deductions from me!Keep selling them, and I'll keep buying them ?I usually wear novelty socks around the house in the winter, for walking the dog, etc., but most of the ones I had were getting holes in the heels, toes, etc. I didn't want to use my nice black socks that I wear to work for these activities, so I decided it was time to toss the old novelty socks and get some new ones. I didn't want to spend a lot of money; I was very happy to find a package of six pairs for around two dollars a pair. For the price I paid, I wasn't expecting high quality, so when these arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. They're comfortable and they fit well (I normally wear a size 7 shoe); they go up a bit higher on the calf than a standard trouser sock. They're approximately the thickness of standard trouser socks; the seam runs over the tops of the toes. There are a few little strings/threads coming out in various places, but they're only noticeable upon close inspection.I did not buy these with the intention of wearing them to work, although a handful of the pairs (red/black/gray and blue/black/gray, especially) are conservative enough for an office. The dyes in the yarn seem colorfast thus far; I've walked in water puddles in the kitchen a couple of times and haven't yet stained my feet!All-in-all, I'm pleased with the purchase and would definitely consider this brand again.BUT instead of getting 6 pairs (of the wildflower pattern) I only received 3 pairs.(That makes them slightly less cheap, but these are seriously great socks for the money! Finally! Some nice thin, stretchy black socks that don't make my dress shoes feel tight! These aren't thick enough for running a marathon in tennis shoes, but if you just want something really nice to wear with jeans or dress pants, this is it. They fit my size 10 1/2 feet just right. Most ladies socks seem to be made for midgets, but not these. The tops are not tight, and do not make red lines around my calf. They have lots of stretch and don't fall down. They are tall enough to cover my skin when I sit with my legs crossed. They are smooth to the touch. I'm wearing them right now and my feet feel pampered! I ordered 10 6-packs, (60 pairs!), so I won't be running out of socks again any time soon. This is probably overkill, but I have been on the hunt for nice socks for about 2 years, and was starting to think they did not exist. It seems like every time I find something I really like, they discontinue it, so I just wanted to make sure I had enough to last a few years. These are definitely fun socks! I love a bit of color, even though no one ever sees them but me. I bought the ArgyleF style and color. My only problem is that the black sock with red and grey do not match each other. One of the socks has the red and grey argyle pattern all the way down to the toe. The other sock stops the pattern at the ankle... It looks like they forgot to sew in the color on the foot section of the sock. The other 5 pairs of socks all have the pattern down to the toe and match its partner. I am a size women 6-8 depending on the shoe so the socks are a little big, but they still fit without having the heel at my ankle! Which is a bonus since they are size 9-11!I like these socks from the standpoint that they are really cool looking however, the picture shows six different colors in the package of 6 pairs and I only received 5 different colors. I didn't receive the white/pink but received two of the lime green/pink. I gave them four stars because of that. The quality is pretty good but if you've ever owned argyle socks... there are tons of little threads inside the sock which sometimes makes it difficult to put them on without catching and pulling the threads. They also fit a bit tight so if you have large/muscular calves, these socks may not be comfortable after having them on for a while. I have pretty skinny/scrawny legs and I have indent marks on my legs after wearing them for a couple of hours. I would recommend them because they really are cool for the price.Well, well, well. I bought these as a present for my wife for Christmas. She didn't get around to wearing them until March at which point she realised they were the wrong size - didn't know if I'd ordered wrong or they'd delivered wrong. So, I have been wearing them. Great , super comfortable socks.Wonder what item of women's apparel I should try next.Good product BUT is not cotton. They actually botter with shoes.Decent socks they fit wellColourful and as described.Lovely socks, thank you
