Only after one wash and iron, the backside of the pants has already developed tiny fabric balls like lint balls. I have similar pants that I have owned for years which don't have this problem. This causes me to believe that these kid's pants won't have a long life. I don't enjoy paying for clothes that will last a short period... who does!?! Otherwise, it's a nice navy blue color and has a slim fit with a tapered in leg which is what I initially wanted.These are more like thick footless tights than actual leggings. I think they would snag easily if used in everyday wear and playtime. They worked perfect for my daughter's Halloween costume and they kept her warm.Ok sent back due to the other part of an outfit arrived late.These leggings are not like the cotton leggings. These are more like tights without feet. They are little thicker then tights. They feel like a swimsuit material (spandex) They fit as expected and worked well under a Halloween outfit. I don't think they would look right on their own. They need something over them.My daughter was a candy cane in her school's Nutcracker production and had to have some red tights. These are bright red and fit the bill perfectly.Very see through. My daughter wore them with a dress for Christmas so that was ok.True to size, but very sheer. More light tights, would need to wear something that covers because they are definitely see-through.We bought these to use as a rashguard for swimming. I bought the medium for my tall 4 year-old and they fit well except that they are more hipsters than fitting to the waist and therefore need to be pulled up all the time to avoid showing too much bottom. The lack of height at the waist height is not mentioned in the description, nor is it evident in any of the product photos as all the models are wearing shirts.
