So much IBS misery for so many years....now, I win! I'm ever grateful for this product. One pill a day does it. Occasionally, take two. Just wish I'd found it sooner. There are cheaper ones on the market....but my Doc recommended this brand, so I'm sticking with it. I literally got my life back. There's a whole world out there...beyond the bathroom. Created reflux, anxiety, etc. It’s taken nearly 2 weeks for my body to recover. I love Thorne products and was quite surprised that this one caused adverse symptoms. I know everyone’s body is different and it may not cause the same issues for everyone.I’ve used this product for 6 years, it’s absolutely excellent! Whenever I ventured away from this product for something cheaper, I have regretted it and quickly rushed back to this product! It simply works.I started taking BioGest after seeing a naturopath following removal of my gallbladder. If you've had your gallbladder removed, you know there can be some nasty consequences--particularly on digestion--which your family doctor/surgeon probably won't tell you about. For me, it was particularly bad whenever I ate fats or proteins. I was losing my hair because my body wasn't digesting my food well and I was actually malnourished. My naturopath really helped me get back on track, but it took a year of intensive work--eating the right foods, limiting some foods, and using this product. We also used probiotics and a host of other items to help me through the crisis. I still use this product every single day. It's made a huge difference in how I feel and my ability to be normal again.That said, this product probably isn't for you if you're just wanting a basic digestive enzyme. It may be too potent for you, and you may be better off with something less intense. If you have IBS or other gut issues, I highly recommend seeing someone professionally trained (like a doctor or naturopath) because these products can make those issues worse--and it's not an instant cure-all. It's just one part of a lifestyle change that has to happen to appropriately manage your condition.Hoping it will improve my digestion, but can't tell a difference yet though I need to give it more time.Great product but I realized I didn’t need it after using it.This supplement helps my bloating and gas when I eat.
