One of the cool things about getting a new Keurig is that it comes with a decent sampler pack to get you started - and there are TONS of varieties of coffee out there - a whole new world of flavor opens up to you! No longer would I be content with Maxwell House from the shelf at Acme - no, now was the time to chose something awesome to be My New Favorite Coffee!! So, armed with my Keurig, I set out on my mission: trying all the different brands that were in the sampler --- and a few that people gave me to me to try - I went to work, mentioned I got a Keurig and then next day a few co-workers had brought me in their favorite k-cups to try - how cool is that? (A neat thing about having a Keurig is that you don't have to buy a pound of coffee just to try something new - and at the price of coffee these days, who has money to do taste tests?? I mean, if I buy some new coffee and I don't like it, I'm way too cheap to just throw the can out. Nope, I'm going to suffer through that can of coffee until it is gone. And will I continue to experiment? Nope, I learned my lesson - 'll go back to Maxwell House Master Blend, cus look what experimenting got me: a week of crappy coffee! My morning cup of coffee is crucial to my day and if it's meh, I'm not a happy camper! The Keurig allows you low risk, high reward.)Annnnnnnyway I tried alllll the brands and flavors (which, by the way, led me to Google to learn just what a French roast is and why would i like that more than a breakfast blend or Italian roast and I was a little relieved to see that there are other people who obsess over their coffee like I apparently do). I tried Donut House, Green Mountain, Van Houtte, Timothy's, Emeril's, French roasts, Italian roasts, breakfast blends, Nantucket blends, flavored coffees, celebrity coffees and on and on and on to determine which one would win the distinction of being My New Favorite Coffee. No, I didn't do it all in one day (I'm not crazy), it took a few weeks to narrow down the field, but soon, a favorite began to emerge........and that favorite is....../drum roll/............Caribou Blend - My New Favorite Coffee!!!! Commence with confetti and celebration!It has a nice smooth flavor and doesn't taste burnt at all like some types of coffees (totally looking at YOU Starbucks). Caribou Blend is just a great cup of coffee to start your day.CARIBOU!CARIBOU!CARIBOU!Gooooooo CARIBOU!!!
