This is a trim fit, Asian-cut car coat. European men, or at least european 'men with chests' are much larger than Asian frames. And while Asians carry their fat stores evenly distributed Europeans tend to collect weight in the middle. This means that the SLEEVES fit the size recommended, but the cut of the body of the coat is one to two sizes too small.I have two of these car coats from 'fancy' labels, but I've gained a few pounds during covid. So I wanted the same style in a slightly larger size for this winter. But this coat in size XL is smaller than my 'fancy label' L (large). I think if I were to order XXL or XXXL it might fit my usual 'large' upper chest. But I think the sleeves would reach the floor.Otherwise, while the coat is only 20% wool, so feels a bit light, it's quality construction, and beautiful to look at.I’m from Arizona and needed a true winter coat for some winter traveling. I got the extra thick coat and it feels great. I like the older style look for the coat and it looks better in person. It’s Not so bulky that it’s awkward to take off and store/carry, and definitely feels warm enough. The fit is good for me as I wanted a coat that I could still layer underneath.I wore this jacket once since I got it. On the day I did I got a speeding ticket so I must have been looking fancier than I am XD Overall it's a great jacket though. Fits nice, keeps you warm. I got the lighter weight jacket because I live in California. The heavyweight version would have been too warm. I will definitely say this jacket is more of a statement piece. It's not your average sweatshirt jacket you wear for leisure. It's a bit bigger and makes me feel like I'm roaming the streets of London. If anything I wish it was a little less bulky on the outside and around the neck area. Thankfully winter is coming and I'll be wearing more this season.It fits perfect in every way save one. It is way too tight in the shoulders for me. If you're of a talk build may want to go one size largerI bought the coffee-colored medium weight coat as a x-mas gift for myself and overall I’m happy with it.The coat is decent quality, but it is an 80/20 poly/wool blend, so the fabric isn’t exactly premium. I really like the coffee color which is a black and brown twill fabric. Buttons a back gloss plastic with a silver edge binding. All my buttons were in good shape and securely sewn. My coat came with a single extra button. A single vertical zipper pocket is on the left breast. The zipper is chunky and unbranded but the action is smooth and it works. On the collar there is a silver buckle and black snap that can be used on cold days. I haven’t used it but the construction looks sturdy. There are simple interior pockets without buttons or zippers on the left and right breast. Again, construction seems sturdy. The lower exterior pockets have superfluous buttons but the pockets themselves are sturdy and warm.The fit is reasonably modern (i.e. slim) for me in a good way. However, I do have a fairly athletic build with a 42”+ chest and a 32”- waist. I really liked the fit at my shoulders and I would have preferred a closer fit at my middle— though with my build I can’t reasonably expect that from anything but a tailored coat. Length is just about right, with the coat extending down to the bottom of my jean pockets. Weight is also as advertised. The medium weigh keeps me warm in Southern California winters and would work well in Midwestern springs or autumns.Overall I’d recommend the coat. It looks good, the construction seems to be quality (though I think the fabric blend at only 20% wool is mediocre) it’s warm and the fit is good if not great. At $50, I doubt you can do better.Bought it for my guy to wear to a funeral he feels in love with the fit and got so many compliments , I bought him xlarge since I didn't want it snug to wrinkle his clothes it's loose but he likes it roomyVery warm and lots of pockets but double collar thing is weird and uncomfortable.Cool looking coat that feels warm and looks really great. Harks back to earlier years and I love it. Looks terrific on me and I wore it once on a cold day and got tons of compliments. Will love it in the fall and winter. Highly recommend.This thing stank of something moldy or stale, and was stuffed into a bag, so when it was taken out, it was severely wrinkled. it looked terrible, secondly when i bought it, it was supposed to be a charcoal grey with a ribbed fabric, what i got was a plain very thin black wool-like material. The buttons looked strange too, i loved the look of it on the site, but putting it on, it felt small and fit just a little too small, i'm a slim medium, and this medium just was able to be buttoned up, i really wanted the jacket in the picture, but what i received was a stinky heavily wrinkled mess. So i sent it back for a refund. no thanks!Jacket that arrived was not as we assumed from the picture. It had way more snaps and pockets and stuff going on on the front of it. That plus just the style of the jacket in general, was bulky and not tailored fit in any way, we decided to return. Too bad as the price is really great but the style was not a good fit for my husbands taste.Seemed to be descent quality for the price, however the picture in the ad when I purchased showed this was a zippered jacket. The item received only had buttons and no zipper at all. I ordered a size larger than usual and it fit well.We used the size chart to measure and ordered a small as that was what fit our measurements. Had to return it and order a large. If you order a size or two bigger than your measurements say you will need, it's a very stylish coat made with good craftsmanship. My son loves it.My hubby’s quite happy with this black one! At first I ordered an XL in Navy because that’s what he always wears but I tried it on & it was too tight so I knew it wouldn’t fit him. I had to send the Navy back & order a 2XL in Black which fit better! The first one wasn’t true to size so watch that!
