It's hard to tell if an item like this is going to seem cheap or high quality unless you can hold it in your hand. This hat is a replacement for a hat I loved--and lost. I was so afraid it would be slightly or even very different in quality or fit or looks, but it's exactly the same as the one I was trying to replace...and that's great. So happy. Embroidery works perfectly. I may even by another one right now just in case I lose this one. I wouldn't want to have to try to get this lucky again in the future.The design on the face of the hat is not there purposely!! It's actually not even part of the hat, it's only a throw away sticker that comes placed in different areas around the hat!!
